One, Two, Buckle My Shoe

A talented ensemble featuring John Moffat performs Agatha Christie's favorite murder mystery in her Nursery Rhyme series. Hercule Poirot, as always, thinks his way through a maze of multiple suspects, red herrings, and twisty turns. When Poirot's unassuming dentist turns up dead, murdered moments after Poirot leaves his office, Christie's sleuth is outraged. He liked that dentist! The production captures London of the 1940s with a combination of evocative scene setting and clipped British accents that bring the era vividly to life. The production quality is wonderful, with sound effects that enrich the listening experience without getting in the way.
