      More than seven years after the publication of the final book in his Inheritance Cycle, Paolini returns with this collection of stories delivered by the narrator of the original series, Gerard Doyle. In the first story, a girl's life is forever changed by a mysterious stranger. The second story gives listeners Angela the Herbalist's backstory. The final story is about an Urgal's thirst for vengeance. The first two stories are short, causing the third one, which is the length of a novella, to feel excessively long. Much as it did in his narration of the earlier works, Doyle's soothing Irish brogue encourages listeners to sit back and revel in the story.
